NSW: New authority to manage Homebush Bay

SYDNEY, Jan 10 AAP - A new Sydney Olympic Park Authority will manage and secure the
long-term future of the Homebush Bay precinct, New South Wales Premier Bob Carr announced
today.

The new authority would start operations from July 1 and take over the role and responsibilities
of the Olympic Co-ordination Authority (OCA), he said.

"The new authority will make sure the Homebush Bay precinct - to be officially renamed
Sydney Olympic Park - develops over time into a great sport and entertainment resource
