9 die in California house fire

Nine people died in a house fire in East Palo Alto, Calif., Saturdaymorning. Two pit bulls, bars on the windows and burning cars thatblocked a doorway made it difficult for firefighters to reach thehouse, officials said. Several other people escaped from the fireand some people, including firefighters, were injured. The victims,including three teens and five children, appeared to be part of afamily, officials said.
