Not to be outdone by its foe, Cablevision may be set to allowremote programming of its digital video recorders, according to DSLReports.
An anonymous source on its message board said Cablevision willlet subscribers schedule or delete programs on their DVRs through anInternet portal. They've posted a picture of the dashboard on theirWeb site.
Just last week, Verizon launched its own remote DVR service. Bylogging into their customer centers, FiOS subscribers can search andschedule recordings remotely. Verizon also allows customers toschedule via mobile phone, and it even offers a Blackberryapplication dedicated to the Remote DVR.
